The opposition on Friday staged a sit-in at the Sindh Assembly floor in protest against the Speaker denying them tabling a resolution to condemn firing at PTI's MPA Ramzan Ghanchi. The Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani didn't allow leader of the opposition Firdous Shamim Naqvi (PTI MPA) to move a condemnation resolution.

Sindh Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla argued that the incident is being investigated and the findings would be shared with the legislators during Monday's session. However, the opposition parties' MPAs insisted they should be allowed to table the resolution and discuss the issue but Speaker turned their demand down and asked them let the house begin with its agenda.

The opposition MPAs reacted angrily and immediately began staging sit-in at the assembly floor. They also surrounded the speaker's chair and made noise. Durrani told them "if you don't want to let the house proceed it is up to you. If you want to walk out you may do. But, I will continue the proceedings of the house as per rules."

In the meantime, the house entered questions and answers session but none in the house was able to place any query because of chaotic environment due to high-pitched noise of the protesting MPAs.

They chanted slogans such as Go-Zardari-go, lathi goli ki sarkar naheen chalegi and ghunda gardi naheen chalegi! The Speaker was forced to adjourn the house for 10 minutes. After having seen no change in the chaotic state, Durrani then announced the house adjournment till Monday afternoon.
